His commitment to making technology education accessible and practical has impacted hundreds of young learners who are now equipped with essential digital skills for the modern world.
Michael brings extensive experience in youth training, curriculum development, and mentoring programs focused on building foundational computer skills and coding literacy in primary and secondary school students. Ramadhan Juma Mwatima is the founder of TEHAMA Academy, a pioneering initiative dedicated to empowering young learners in Tanzania with free IT and programming education. With a strong belief that technology is a catalyst for opportunity, Ramadhan launched TEHAMA Academy in 2019 to bridge the digital skills gap among primary school students. Since then, the academy has impacted over 120 learners, equipping them with foundational coding and computer literacy skills that prepare them for a tech-driven future.
Ramadhan is a Full-Stack Salesforce Developer and Administrator at Carnegie Mellon University Africa, where he specializes in building innovative, automated solutions for business processes. He holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from CMU-Africa and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and IT from the University of Dar es Salaam. His professional expertise spans Salesforce development, web technologies, and system integrations, but his passion lies in using technology to create educational opportunities for underserved communities.
Through TEHAMA Academy, Ramadhan combines his technical skills with his commitment to social impact, fostering a generation of young innovators who can thrive in the digital economy.
